Hi, my name is Ben Ingersent, and I am the sole proprietor of Ingersent Interiors.
Born and raised locally to Yeovil, I am a proud Somerset man with traditional family values. I have 3 wonderful children, and a fabulous Fiancé who is a Ward Sister at Yeovil District Hospital. We currently live in Somerton, an area where generations of both of our families have lived for some time, and a community that I am pleased to be part of and serve.
Since beginning my carpentry and joinery apprenticeship in 2003, I have spent my career building a reputation for high standards of workmanship in everything I do. "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly", as they say, and that is how I approach every task, big or small.
Whilst working on my apprenticeship at college, I was quickly recognised for my woodwork abilities and put forward into regional and national 'Skillbuild' competitions, where I took home gold medals at both levels for 2 years running. This culminated in me being selected to represent the UK at the Worldskills finals in Shizuoka, Japan, where I was awarded a 'Medallion of Excellence' and later gained a senior award from the City and Guilds Institute.
After completing my apprenticeship and various competitions, I spent the following 15+ years honing my craft as workshop manager for a bespoke kitchen and joinery company. This has provided me with an archive of knowledge and experience, specifically geared towards the services that I am now offering under my own company branding. In recognition of my continuing high standards of workmanship, my most recent accomplishments have included being nominated for the Screwfix Top Tradesperson award 2023, making it to the semi-finals ahead of 1000+ applicants, and then winning the "New Business of the Year" award at the annual Somerton Community Awards 2024. All of which combined, means you are in safe hands when choosing Ingersent Interiors for your next home improvement project!
My goal, as always, is to continue providing the top quality service that my name has become synonymous with. Customer satisfaction is absolute key, which is why my personable and professional approach is unwavering, and remains the most important tool in my arsenal.
I hope to build on my reputation and existing customer base, allowing me to expand my business within the local area, and become the "go-to-guy" for carpentry and joinery services within my community. By continuing to carry out work that can be trusted, supplying quality that can be relied upon, and providing services that are happily recommended, I believe that I can do just that! :)
